SEASON: 1889-90

Prev Season: 1888-89
This Season: 1889-90
Next Season: 1890-91
DIVISION: Football Alliance (Tier 2)

WHAT HAPPENED
This was our first season playing league games. We joined the inaugural Football Alliance (formed one year after the Football League had started) and although we were top after the first game, we were not to maintain that start and finished 3rd-bottom. There was no relegation this season though, and we stayed in the Alliance for two more seasons.
