Review
All the news ahead of the game was that Sandro Tonali was retuning to the Newcastle team after a 10-month ban for betting. And of course he laid up their first goal which came after just 19 seconds! Yeah, I know that the BBC said 18 and even Forest's official site said 17(!), but watch the video and start the clock...19 seconds was the time. And that's not the record by the way - it just ties for 2nd place behind Willie Irvine giving Burnley the lead against us in 18 seconds in 1966. But back to the rest of this game, and it was Jota Silva who got the deserved equalizer on his first start before we went straight to penalties at the end of 90 minutes. After a couple of sneaky chips from the Geordies they finally had one saved to put us in the driving seat but then Sangare missed and then Awoniyi blasted over to give Newcastle the chance to go through with their fifth kick, which they did.
