Did you know Forest have had points deducted TWICE?

2023-24
The obvious loss of points was in the 2023-24 season when we were docked four points, for financial irregularities. The deduction was announced on March 18th, but an appeal was launched a week later that wasn't finalized until the start of May meaning we had to wait until a few weeks before the end of the season to find out the final punishment. The final decision was that we'd be deducted 4 point but seeing as we finished 6 points ahead of the relegation zone we were still safe.

However, way back in 1890 (in the second season of the Football Alliance) we were docked the 2 points we earned for the 5-1 victory away at Bootle.
Goalkeeper Tom Widdowson was deemed ineligible to play despite the fact he'd played several games for us already, so I assume this was a new regulation (although he also played a game in the previous season's Alliance League without an issue.)

Either way, it didn't affect our league standing - we finished 5th that season, with no promotion or relegation in place.
