Review
Plenty of drama before the kick-off at today's game at home to Luton. Forward Tom Johnston was sick with the flu and then Bob McCall reported himself unfit. Then the dressing room was home to goalkeeper Harry Walker collapsing and saying he could not play today. That led to a scramble to find a replacement in Lowdham amateur Denis Ward. He made his only appearance for us on this day and, according to the Fooball Post's report, did exceptionally well. We missed a penalty (Jack Edwards put his spot kick wide on the hour mark) and despite pulling a goal back at the end and then having three corners in the last minute (and being down to 10 men following an injury to Roland Wheatley) we lost 2-1.
