Review
The referee did not turn up, so this game that was originally scheduled as an Alliance game was instead played as a friendly. Funnily enough the report from that evening's Evening Post says "During the interval it transpired that the match was no Alliance fixture owing the non-arrival of the referee". So who reffed the first half? Then two sentences later they reported "Walker fouled Pike, but the referee failed see the act". I guess it was hard to see if he wasn't there, but then again neither was I. So I marked this as a friendly, and the league fixture was fullfilled two weeks later as a 1-1 draw.
