YELLOW CARDS
Order by most cards | Order by games per cardYellow cards were introduced in the 1970 World Cup to make it clearer to the fans (and players) who had been cautioned. Cautions existed before then, but the card didn't get added to the game until that summer's tournament in Mexico.
However, I have a lot of games that say cards were shown from 1966! Our first cards were awarded in the Jan 1966 game against Newcastle United and, seeing as I don't have times, the first one went to either Peter Hindley, Terry Hennessey or John Barnwell
I don't have a full set of data for the cards either...I'm confident back to around 1980, but still need to validate a lot more data prior to then. (For instance, I'm 100% sure Kenny Burns got more than 10 cautions in his 196 games!)
So, with the records I have, these are all the players that have seen a yellow card, ordered by the player with the most.
